GQ sells 365 copies of its Apple iPad — or $1,091 in sales | The Wall Blog

Good piece over at The Wall – which is fast becoming one of my most read sites – about how many copies GQ have sold of its iPad edition. In what is very bad news for any publisher hoping to make money from the new format, GQ has apparently sold just 365 copies since December.

That’s clearly not even going to cover the cost of the digital editorial investment in video etc let alone make the company any money. It is early days, but I do think any notions that the iPad is some kind of magic bullet for publishers are going to disappear very quickly.
